Why We Don't Have Enough

Have you ever wondered why you can pay your rent or mortgage, pay the utilities, buy groceries and gas for the coming work week, but there isn’t anything left over? Do you ask yourself why you don’t have more? Why life is a struggle? Why you just barely get by? You Are Not Alone We all struggle with these same questions; everything that is common to your dilemma is also common to mine for we are all connected and we share similar emotional struggles. We all have a desire to care for our families and provide the best we can. We desire to have more than enough or be more than we currently are. We are all discouraged when we feel it is not enough. How Do We Get More? There have been many books written in the last 20 years on spiritual laws and how to apply them to our lives. Here are just a few examples of their teachings: ·          We have been told to affirm statements of wealth and prosperity so that we can receive it. ·     ...

Dabbling in Magic -- Blocking Universal Flow

So, you like to dabble in magic? Magic is more that illusions. It involves the practice of Wicca, witchcraft, or alchemy in an attempt to enchant or transform a person or situation. Is the practice of these methods conducive to your personal and spiritual growth? If we took a poll of today’s cultural beliefs about the use of these practices, we might find many conflicting answers. This post will help clarify these common terms used today. Magic Magic is commonly referred to as conjuring tricks and illusions such as the magic used by Houdini, Criss Angel, and David Blain – to name only a small number of the current famous magicians -- but it also refers to a the use of a supposed supernatural power to make something happen that would not likely happen without the use of conjuring. Magic is used to make someone or something change. This type of magic can be seen in love potions and love spells. The practitioner of magic believes that their power is greater than others and that their...

Unconditional, Unchangeable Universal Laws

There have been so many books and articles written on Universal Laws in the last 20 years but many of these books seem to go around in circles while leaving out basic and fundamental components that truly are required in order for us to scale the tree of understanding. One of the most profound and refreshing books that I have come across lately on this topic is Infinite Possibilities: The Art of Living Your Dreams . [1] In this dynamic and thought-provoking book, the author discusses the truths we need to understand before we can realize our dreams. These truths impact our world view about life, ourselves, and the universe to such a degree that without first coming to terms with these truths it is impossible to realize our true selves, our true divinity, and our life’s dreams. This is not intended to be a book review, but I highly recommend Infinite Possibilities to anyone wanting more spiritual understanding and the ensuing personal growth that naturally follows. On pages 29-31, D...

Crossing Over to the Other Side

Not many of us have received instructions on how to die. For that matter, not many of us have been instructed on how to live either. I dare to say that 99% of those reading this post have never heard any teaching or message on death and dying other than the five stages of grief from Psychology 101 [1] . Denial and isolation Anger   Bargaining   Depression Acceptance The idea of death and dying is filled with fear of punishment as compensation for how we lived this life. We have been told that we can expect either eternal damnation or a great mansion in the sky as our reward for the life we lead in the here and now of this existence. The basis of these teaching comes from religious doctrine and superstitious beliefs and are as varied as religions themselves. The reason we accept these beliefs is because we have forgotten who we are. Before we came into the womb we knew who we were. We were in touch with the light of the Universe, God’s light. We understood we were ...

Working with Chakras

Image
Working with chakras might seem either unimportant or too complicated but it is a very important part of your spiritual growth. Working with chakras helps us to understand the physical and spiritual connection available to us. It is a realization of heaven on earth, “as it is above so it is below.” How do we start? The first and foremost part of working with your chakras is to be aware of their color and placement. (See the diagram below.) Now, sit quietly in a place where you will not be disturbed or distracted and visualize your own chakras just as those in the diagram above. Focus your attention on each one until you can sense its color and warmth. In the next few weeks, take one chakra at a time starting with the root chakra and concentrate on it, meditate on it. Allow it to open your understanding about its purpose in your life. Take mental notes or write the information in a journal. Then move on to the next chakra until you have reached the crown. For more information on ...

Why Do We Need to Use Our Chakras?

Chakras are our gifts; gifts to enhance our physical, mental, and spiritual lives. As I have stated in my book, Chakra Basics: Fundamentals of Spiritual Growth , these gifts don’t help us unless we take them out of the box and experience them. Chakras are our energy source; like any energy source, they must be used and maintained to continue to function properly. If an engine is not oiled and maintained, it can rust or freeze up. This applies to our chakras as well. Every physical or mental dysfunction, such as disease or disorders, first starts with an emotional issue that becomes trapped in our energy systems, the chakras. This has been proven many times by science that “mind over matter” can heal even terminal conditions. Let’s look at each individual chakra and how being rusty or frozen-up can cause physical disorders: Crown chakra – it is through this chakra that we receive Divine intelligence and Universal wisdom. If there are any blockages to this chakra, we will find that s...

How Do We Heal the Chakras?

The chakras, their colors and meaning, the source of energy, and blocked energy have been covered in my earlier blogs. It is important that we are able to restore the chakras to perfection for effective energy in our lives. How Do We Heal the Chakras? When the chakras have blockages or imbalanced, how do we heal them? What does it take to remove a blockage or to restore balance?  Working with the chakras is similar to self-analysis. My book , Chakra Basics: Fundamentals of Spiritual Growth , is a teaching manual designed to take anyone through the basic understanding of chakras and how to heal our energy systems but for our purposes here the answer is simply and irrevocably: white light. What is white light? It is the energy of Divine source; it is Divine source. It is the summation of the ALL. It is purity, love, and healing. It is the substance that perfects all things. White light can appear as a mist, vapor or shower; it can be channeled as a beam and pointed in a partic...

Chakra -- Colors and Purposes

The colors and purposes of the seven major chakras:          The Root Chakra – located at the base of the spine in the perineum area, this chakra is red in color symbolizing energy and physical. It is the chakra closest to the earth and easily draws red, earth-energy into the body for strength and stamina. It is through the chakra that we find grounding and balance. The Root Chakra is primarily concerned with the basics in life -- food, shelter and clothing -- and all the other ingredients in life that focus on the survival of humanity, such as procreation and family.   The Sacral Chakra – located in the sacral area of the body (resting between the pelvic bones and above the pubic bone but below the navel) is orange in color and represents the pleasures, creativity, and enjoyment of life. It is the chakra of choices and preferences. It is significant that this chakra is between the red root chakra and the yellow solar plexus chakra as the colors red ...

Why Do We Have Chakras?

Chakras are our connection to Divine mind. They are an open channel through which we process information received by Divine consciousness. They are gifts from the Universe. However, like any gift, if we do not open the package, examine the contents and put it to use, it does not serve us – it is simply an unused present. For example, if I receive a new coffee pot from a relative or friend and I let it sit in the unopened box then I cannot brew a fresh cup of coffee using that new appliance.  Perhaps the coffee pot I am currently using has a cracked canister or the heating element doesn't keep the coffee warm; I may be so accustomed to using that old coffee pot that I have forgotten how nice it would be to have a hot cup of coffee brewed properly. My reluctance to make a change limits my enjoyment of morning coffee. To remedy this, all I need to do is open the new gift, take it out of the box and plug it in. Plugging into Universal consciousness is pretty much the same. The Crow...

Who Can See the Auric Layer of Chakras?

Image
Chakras have been documented in ancient text for more than 5,000 years. And yet we treat the information as if it was new and scary, even taboo. If you look at old paintings of saints, rulers and great teachers you will notice that they were typically portrayed with a golden plate, light or halo around the head. This depicted what the artist saw as a layer of the aura shining out from the crown chakra. The aura is a force that emanates from the individual chakras and everyone has this. Somewhere along the line the information was lost or hidden but it has always been with us.  Notice the auric layer in the paintings below: As babies and small children we saw the auric layers around the people near us and in anyone who approached. If you doubt this, watch a baby in the arms of his/her parents. When you approach, they look at you but then they look all around you as they take in all the auric information about you and your spiritual connection to Divine. Sometimes they cry or b...

What Affects the Energy of the Chakras?

The seven major chakras provide energy to the body systems. When any of the chakras has a blocked energy flow it is similar to a tripped circuit breaker – it has to be examined and restarted. So how do you know if you have a tripped circuit breaker or that your energy flow is blocked or imbalanced? Looking at each chakra individually gives a more complete picture of their importance: Seven major chakras: 1.       The Crown chakra – is our connection to universal intelligence or Divine mind. If you feel foggy or experience cloudy thinking, it is likely that this connection is blocked or stagnant. The crown chakra has everything to do with processing information and sharing it with the rest of the body’s energy system (chakras). Great minds have a great connection to Divine mind, to the Universe. Closed minds have blocked this flow. 2.       The Third-Eye chakra – is the place where we see clearly. We see where we are going and where we...

What are Charkras?

Throughout the ages and each individual’s life, we and our world, experience an ebb and flow like the tide. The waves come in, they flow out again. We plunge into love, we fall out of love. We learn things and we forget things. Whether the information about chakras was lost, forgotten, or hidden doesn’t really matter; it receded. What does matter is that the flow of knowledge has returned. A new and renewed interest is with us and we can take advantage of that revival to develop a strong connection to our Creator. After all, we were made in the Creator’s image. So what are chakras? The simple definition for chakras (pronounced Shock-Ruhs) is “the energy wheels of the body”. The language of origin is Sanskrit and translates to “wheels” or “turning”. The information about chakras is over 5,000 years old and yet today we treat it as something “new” or unusual. The most significant aspect of the chakras should be immediately evident – energy wheels. When we experience an important even...
